This small patch adds a bit of content to the game as well a lot of flare to important parts of Oftalmogarden: DETH, The Portal, and utter chaos.

DETH is that big eye in the sky that appears when you’re taking too long to complete a garden. He used to just float right above you and slowly descend to crush you, but not anymore. Now, he wants to make sure you know that he is watching, and that you will die.

The Portal also used to just sit there not doing much, and still does! But now with a lot more style and cool particle effects, to remind you that, yes, you should leave a garden as soon as you can.

This update also adds the Cosmic Dice. This new gadget makes it so that any random event is guaranteed to occur, good or bad, for 7 seconds. This may lead to complete chaos and either be very helpful or completely backfire. Use it wisely.

Gadgets

• [NEW] Cosmic Dice
• Grants improbable luck.
• Any random event is guaranteed to occur for 7 seconds.
• Orbital Strike: Slightly increased explosion size.

Weapons

• Flamethrower: Reduced base ammo to 800 (from 1000).
• When a weapon is dropped, the game now switches to the next owned weapon or the last owned weapon to avoid equipping P.E.W. when a better weapon is available.

Upgrades and Curses

• Corrupted Decision Tree: Reduced chance to scramble upgrade/curse choices, clarified description.

Presentation

Visuals

• Completely reworked DETH’s behavior, now follows the player camera in order to always stay visible in the sky, watching, and then kills the player from a distance.
• Added particle effects to The Portal to make it more visible and inviting.

Fixes

• XP Retrieval should no longer incorrectly appear in Garden 0 on old saves.
• Sandstorm effects in the Crimson Desert should no longer depend on framerate.
• The Portal’s light should no longer disappear in some cases.
